The tips I found most useful were about having interesting images with fonts that are too small for reading through Pinterest – thus requiring the viewers to go to your page.
I have just released version 3.91 of STG FolderPrint Plus.
There are two changes in this release. First, I've fixed the Load Tree so as to open as read-only and avoid changing the last modified date of stgtree files.
Second, I usually save scans of drives. Yes, the program is fast but when you have several hundred thousands or millions of files – and specially when you turn Open Compressed Files – a scan can take a while.
One thing that really bothered me when opening a stgtree file is that the program just apparently froze, without any feedback. Now it displays a dialog with an animation, as well as a percentage bar and number of files read. And if you use Windows 7 it will also display progress on the taskbar.
When I moved this blog from my main site, one thing I forgot till now was removing the site name from post titles.
Adding the site name to each post title is mostly pointless, and even worse, it gives you less of a keyword density for SEO.
It is very easy to tweak the title – just use Infinite SEO and go to Title & Meta tab (Step 3). There you can switch titles and descriptions for the Home page, Posts, Pages and more.
Just wanted to mention DirtyMarkup – a nice, simple HTML/CSS/JS cleaner. Just paste your code, choose your options and press Clean – and in a few seconds, you get a nicely formatted version of your messy code.
Whenever your application requires an HTML 5 feature that the user's browser doesn't have, their API shows a nice screen with browsers that support that feature, including newer versions of the user's browser.
A nice way to get people to update when the new features would actually be useful.
The book is pretty short, but still not only it is a pleasant read, it gave me much better insight on what should be on features, benefits and bullets and how to write them. I have read several other books in the area, but none were as clear as this.
There is also a premium version, which includes a 25 minute video. The video shows his technique for writing compelling sales pages, and also how to fit in the features, benefits and bullets. It does clarify and add to the book, so if the price difference is still minimum as it is now, you will want to get the Premium version.
I have just released version 3.90 of STG FolderPrint Plus.
The main focus on this release is the Search screen (which you get by clicking menu Edit->Search Tree or pressing CTRL+F).
If you are not aware, you might want to know that when Open Compressed Files is On, Search will find files inside compressed files. Till now the display of this was confusing – but now it display the full name of the ZIP on the Folder Column. See below:
Also, I personally use the Preview windows all the time, and I (and several users) missed it on the Search window. Now it also works when you select files on the Search Window.
So far, STG FolderPrint Plus does not preview files inside ZIP or other compressed files, but that could be improved. What do you think? Does this seem useful to you? Leave your comment below.
